Last day of firsts!
Students got to rest a little longer this morning and this gave everyone time to work on their luggage! Our bags coming over were around 20 kgs but coming home…Well fortunately we have a higher allowance for check in bags!
This morning we went to a very modern museum – Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation … students a few of the interactive displays and took time to explore this large modern space.
Lunch was on Odaiba island and a mixed buffet so they could fill up for the day. They also had their last lot of shopping in an interesting old Tokyo themed market and amusement alley.
After we visited the amazing digital art installation Teamlab Planets. shoes and socks off, textures floors, water pools and data map projections created a magical and unique space for all to enjoy.
Photos are hard to take in that darkly lit space as you can’t use a flash…
Late afternoon and we are off to Haneda to pack and repack our luggage and check in for our flight home to you all.
It has been an absolute privilege to take your students on this journey The leaders have given their care and support to each of the students. And it’s been wonderful to the level of growth and confidence in so many of our young members in Team Joe 2023!

As much as this trip took the kids out of their comfort zones, as parents, we too were out of our comfort zones. But your constant communication, updates & pictures put our worries at ease. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for keeping our precious children safe & happy. We hope you have a well earned rest.

Can’t express enough the blessing that you are all to have taken our kids on this adventure. Matilda has not stopped telling the many stories she has of her experience (plus an afternoon nap!).
