Day 13 – The struggle is real; food, language and luggage but the wins are worth it!

Today was a slower start for the team; getting washing done and sorting their luggage as from tomorrow we backpack it for two nights!

After another buffet breakfast fill up the team travelled to Fushimi Inari Taisha- home of 1000 red Torii Gates and many fox statues. While some students took to the hike up to the top through the gates others found themselves making friends with middle school students who were on a mission to practice their English.

Food stalls for lunch saw the students try things like Takoyaki, daifuku, and wagyu beef on skewers!

The late afternoon had the team moving north to the GEAR Theater for our evening show but not before dinner in small groups was under taken! Some people even managed to sing up a storm at a Karaoke box!

Tonight the students watched with interest and amusement a show with no words…GEAR!
