In the area near our sister school an old craft is still valued and practiced by artisans. The creation of washi, hand made paper; it is an art form within itself but mino washi is also used to create beautiful lamps, umbrellas and other household items. Some of our JOE students in the past have been fortunate to visit the Mino Washi Museum; a collection of both traditional and modern creations.
